The Sitkovetsky Trio is one of today’s most acclaimed piano trios on the international classical stage, renowned for their profound musical insight and emotionally charged performances. Their artistry has captivated audiences in the world’s most prestigious concert halls, including the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, Alte Oper Frankfurt, Palais des Beaux-Arts in Brussels, Musée du Louvre in Paris, L’Auditori in Barcelona, Wigmore Hall in London, and Lincoln Center in New York. Each performance resonates deeply with listeners, marked by a rare blend of passion and refinement.
The trio has received numerous accolades, including the BBC Music Magazine Chamber Music Award, the NORDMETALL Chamber Music Award at the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Festival, First Prize at the International Chamber Music Competition hosted by Intercollegiate Bank, and the Philharmonia Orchestra–Martin Chamber Music Award. Their work has been supported by leading institutions such as the Hattori Foundation, Musician’s Benevolent Fund, Fidelio Trust, and Swiss Global Artistic Foundation. Recently, they were generously funded as part of Germany’s Neustart Kultur initiative.
In the upcoming 2024/2025 season, the Sitkovetsky Trio will continue to perform globally, with concerts scheduled in the United States, Israel, Germany, the Netherlands, and China, including a return to London’s Wigmore Hall. Their July 2024 performance at Wigmore was hailed by The Strad magazine as “monumental” and praised for its “deeply lyrical expressiveness.”
As the Ensemble-in-Residence at the Beethovenfest Bonn 2024/2025, the Trio presents three diverse concert programs, including two world premieres. Performance highlights include their interpretation of Beethoven’s Triple Concerto with the Frankfurt Radio Symphony Orchestra and the world premiere of Ferran Cruixent’s new work Trinity, both receiving enthusiastic acclaim.
Since 2014, the Sitkovetsky Trio has released several critically acclaimed recordings under BIS Records, featuring works by Smetana, Suk, and Dvořák. Their collaboration with Wigmore Live has produced notable recordings, including an album of Mendelssohn’s Piano Trios, and the award-winning Ravel & Saint-Saëns album, which won the BBC Music Magazine Award. Their latest release, the third volume of Beethoven’s Complete Piano Trios, was named “Album of the Week” by NDR (German Public Broadcasting) and selected as one of The Times’ Best Classical Albums of 2024.
